ASM Press Office Highlights

  • SGC Policy Director and Internal Affairs Director interviews have been held.
  • Nominated students to serve on the search and screen committees for the Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine and the Dean of the School of Human Ecology.
  • Appointed two students to serve on the Student Information Technology Initiative Committee, which allocates hundreds of thousands of student dollars to improve campus IT infrastructure. The student seats on SITIAC are now all filled.
  • Strong possibility that discussions surrounding the possibility of bringing etexts to campus will provide the push for a shared governance textbook committee to be established.
  • Plans to establish a student advisory board for the libraries are underway!
  • Well on our way to formalizing student seat on Chancellor’s Alcohol Policy Group. Student representatives on subcommittees could form an ASM Student Board dealing with these issues, like CTC/Student Transportation Board model.
