University of Wisconsin Campus Area Housing and the Associated Students of Madison’s Legislative Affairs are holding a Student Housing Fair on Monday, November 12. The fair will be located at Union South, in Varsity Hall between 3:00PM and 6:30PM.

Students in attendance will be able to speak with representatives from UW Campus Area Housing, and University Housing, as well as many privately owned rental companies on campus, and other campus and community resources and services representatives including Madison Property Management, JSM Management, Palisade Apartments, and more.

ASM sent out a survey to the student body via email requesting evaluations of landlords and current rental properties, and will be providing a booth at the Housing Fair with brochures containing the results and student ratings. As well, ASM will work to inform students of their rights as tenants, in working with the Tenant Resource Center.

Legislative Affairs Committee member Tristan Abbott stated: “We’re very excited about partnering with UW Campus Area Housing to put on the Student Housing Fair. As a freshman, I don’t know anything about renting at UW, and I think this is a great way for students to be informed before they sign a lease.”

The Student Housing Fair will be located in Varsity Hall of Union South on Monday, November 12 between 3:00PM and 6:30PM. Inquiries about the Student Housing Fair should be directed to Grace Bolt at 763-291-2711.
